I don't know the kenwood personaly but if you get rx audio from the
microphone connector you don't need to take the audio on the back of the
radio. This is the way i prefer because you have only one cable
connected to the radio

1 - Mic (Microphone Audio)
2 - PTT
5 - 8VDC
6 - RX Audio Output
7 - GND (Microphone audio)
8 - GND
Also, in prevoius config I had audio comming from the external speaker output
on the back.. do i still need that audo too.. that is part of my confusion.
