Thanks Scott! Had to scratch my head at the power supply section for a few
minutes before I had a "duh" moment on what was going on there...
So from looking at the schematic and pinout changes between the T2-301 and
FC-301, and from what I can see in the fc-301 manual...
It looks like the DB-9 comes straight to JP2 and doesn't first go anywhere in
the radio?
Then you're passing power, audio, and other data back to the transciever on
JP1? is this correct?
So I "should" be able to use the "in" point (pad 2) at the ips5451S location to
enable my 5vdc 1A power supply (enable it not power it), then take my now
switching via the "Power" command 5vdc out, cut the trace at JP2 pin 3 for 5vdc
and tie my switching 5vdc to pin 3, which would turn on and off 5vdc at pin 3
on the DB-9?

Sorry for the bother when your sick (get well soon), I just didn't want to pull
the transciever board and connectors if at all possible to check for any
connections there may be on the back (or in the middle) of the transciver
board.
