My Alinco/Argent setup was trouble from the day I bought it. Scott several times replaced the T2-135 which made NO DIFFERENCE. I finally sent the whole thing to Scott who found the problem, I suspect he tried another T2-135 which did not help, finally, I suspect he made some adjustments to the radio for better performance.
