the arrow keys do work (up and down to pick a choice once there are
suggestions) - at least in firefox. What are you using?
I find the partial text not drawing the field annoying too, and more so the
case where you delete all the text in the field and the suggestions don't
appear until you click somewhere else and back again.

All three have a behaviour I find a bit difficult though, if you have
text in the field that is one of the list options, when you click on
the field the menu will not be drawn. It means if you accidently
select the wrong option it is a two step process to fix, and hot to do
it is not obvious.

As a dedicated non-mouse person, I wonder how hard it would be to add
arrow keys. Are the events broadcast or are they captured by the field
?
