We're not using any specific libraries, so it probably has something to do

I have heard of this before. Disabling the transparencies from the css will
get rid of the CPU load.
How can I do that? I tried replacing the word "transparent" with "black"
in tracks/public/stylesheets/standard.css, then restarting both tracks
and browser, but it had no effect.

I'm thinking on completely removing transparency for the menu for 1.8...

Onderwerp: [Tracks-discuss] Performance on Firefox under RedHat Linux
64-bit
Hi all,
Has anyone experienced performance problems viewing the tracks
interface
in Firefox under RHEL5 (and 4 before I upgraded)?
I get massive CPU load when scrolling the screen - which I don't see on
other (Vista x64, Ubuntu 8.10) machines.
What libraries/plugins might be used by tracks to render the screen -
including the fancy transparent menu bar :) - that might be running
slowly on my RedHat box?
Cheers,
Orlando.
