What a nice problem to have. Go, Tracks!

Perhaps it would be worth contacting Joyent and asking them to contribute the bandwidth as a way of supporting open source.

Yikes.

The Shared Accelerator I've moved to has a prominent display of your bandwidth usage and allowance each month. When I looked yesterday, I'd used 5.51 GB out of my monthly allowance, but this morning it was up to 7.3 GB. Obviously, on the 7th of the month, this worrying, and I really don't want to end up paying for extra bandwidth, or have the sites go dark because I've exceeded my allowance. The traffic on my own sites isn't enough to account for it, so I'm guessing that it's probably the Tracks site, and mostly down to the Tracks zipped downloads.

So at some point, I may have to prevent downloading of the package and move it somewhere that I don't have to pay bandwidth for, like Dropbox, Box.net or something, or else point people to GitHub and the download button there. The latter is a bit more complex, and I'm not sure whether it allows you to specify a particular commit to download - does anyone know?

Alternatively, if some kind Tracks user has a secure, reliable server where the bandwidth wouldn't cost them anything, and would like to host the Tracks files, I'd be interested to hear from you!

cheers,

bsag
