I agree, but rewriting stuff will delay 2.0 further. I am a bit alone here :-) I'm considering putting out 2.0RC for testing (using |) and changing the gui for dependencies before rc2/final
I did start hacking on an alternative. Perhaps you can look at it if it feels ok.
