After your patch it works without any error in Message buffer.

Works mean that I can open files via tramp.

I double checked right now that machine still in broken state:

> playground$ echo xxx > /tmp/xxx
> ksh: cannot create /tmp/xxx: Permission denied
> playground$


as you may see, it is.
