I haven't used adb on Windows ever. Thanks for the recommendation.

There's no fundamentalism. If this works also for GNU/Linux and the
other OSes, we won't need a new method.

IIRC, there was a discussion about -tt for ssh, because it was in the
way for remote processes, sometimes. I don't remember the details, it was
about pipes and/or ptys or whatever.  But for adb we shouldn't be faced
with such a problem (I hope).
