I agree that it should go -- it adds significant complexity for (what seems to me to be) very little benefit... but than again, I'm of the view that the whole idea of redaction is silly, and that trying to hide internal domains a: is doomed to failure and b: smacks of security though obscurity. I understand that "the market" doesn't agree with me, so, well, perhaps my opinion is not valid...
