I have a question about the NM109 segment on the submitter loop of
837 professional transactions.
The IG says the should be the Electronic Transmitter Identification Number
(ETIN) established by trading partner agreement.
Can it be the same as the interchange ID of the sender on ISA ?
My guess is that it can be same when sender is originator of the
transaction; and when the sender is a transmission intermediary,
the ETIN field should contain the original sender's interchange ID/ETIN. Am
I right ? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
