Sorry - I misunderstood the question. But the answer is the same. The Loop
Repeat for the 2200D Loop in the 276 is >1. There can be as many as are
applicable.

Did I misunderstand any of the other questions posed?

concerning 1.3.2..... my question is if multiple 2200D can be submitted
on 276. I know 277 can have multiple 2200Ds.

thanks much

>>Can we have multiple 2200D records per one 276 transaction, i.e request
for status for multiple claims for this patient?

We read the IG to say yes. Section 1.3.2 of the IG says, "When the 276 does
not uniquely identify the claim within the payer's system, the response may
include multiple claims that meet the identification parameters supplied by
the requester."

>>In addition, can we have multiple service lines (2210D) associated with
every 2200D record?

Page 122 of the IG shows the Loop Repeat for Loop 2210D to be >1 within Loop
2200D, so we interpret that to be a yes.

>>If there is no claim number provided, how do we associate 2200D and 2210D?

We use the Provider info, date(s) of service, original claim amount, service
codes - generally, any and all information that comes in that helps us match
the claim within our system. If we can't narrow it down to one claim, then
we send back multiples as discussed in your first question above.

>>Is it 2200D only or 2210D only?

Not the way we read it. For example, the IG shows the STC segment at the
claim level to be a Required segment, regardless of whether there is a
Service-level (SVC) Inquiry involved. In other words (by our interpretation
of the IG), you may have a 2200D without a 2210D, but never a 2210D without
a 2200D.

Can we have multiple 2200D records per one 276 transaction, i.e request
for status for multiple claims for this patient? In addition, can we have
multiple
service lines (2210D) associated with every 2200D record? If there is no
claim number provided, how do we associate 2200D and 2210D? Is it 2200D
only
or 2210D only?
