Yes, I do see problems. From your description it appears that you would be in violation of the "standard data content" requirements for the DDE exception. I encourage you to check the FAQs from DHHS Admin Simp as well as the regs on this.

Question: In modifying my Claim Status Inquiry Web transaction for HIPAA compliance and following the DDE exception, can I allow for searching without requesting the specific member or date of service as long as I present the data using HIPAA data content. Also, I am requesting that I provide for additional elements to be queried on that do not exist on the IG from a format perspective (check number) and am planning on continuing this, otherwise my Web utilization will drop dramatically and my call volume will increase. Does anyone see any issues with this?
