Hi there!

I'm fairly pleased to announce that demultiplex/importing module
from X11 on which I'm working on from a few days is growing up nice.

The module already delivers some, well, watchable images, but it's still
in very early development phase: It sometimes delivers strange colors,
it waste bandwith (no XDamage & co used yet), sometimes cause transcode
to hangup for yet unknown reasons at the end of recording, doens't grab the
pointer and so on. This module still needs some more work :)

Neverthless, I plan to commit on HEAD very soon, as soon as hangup bugs and
color corruption bugs are solved, and, of course, as soon as code
documentation is added ;)

Why a new module?
Because for my own taste import_vnc is pretty ugly, *both* for users out there
and for developers.

For my test recording, I use a command line like that:

transcode -i :0.0 -V rgb24 -y ffmpeg -F mpeg1 -o /tmp/test.avi -c 0-101 -f 25

Nothing more. IMO is much simpler that have a VNC proxy up and running and
work on with vncrec/transcode.

Of course having import_x11 *DOESN'T* mean that import_vnc will go away soon.
I just *don't* plan to support or enhance it ;)

Best regards,
