Extactly. tc and ff are quite the opposite on this topic:
- ff aims to reimplement the most external stuff as is possibile (please
note: I do NOT see this as a problem; I'm just describing the perceived
or declared aim).
- tc aims to _interoperate_ with the most (interesting) external stuff
as is possible: that's the reason why we support libmpeg2 AND libavcodec
AND libx264; the reason why I want to write something like mpeglib and
mantain avilib, in spite having growing support for libavformat; and so
on.
