Hi,

Don't forget 352x288 mpeg1. If you have to copy vcd content, it's
IMHO a legal option just to resamle the sound and avoid transcoding
at all[1].

For the same reason the guys from Asia could claim 352x576 to be
implemented for their cvds.

OTOH, IIRC the focus of creating --export_prof was to facilitate
newbies dealing with transcode. If all profiles (10 for dvd, 2 for
svcd, 2 for vcd) will be inclued I suppose this focus will be
lost.

I would prefer that the options --export-prof (I am not that
familiar with it at all) is pre-setting can be overwritten smoothly
by explicit comand line options.

I dunno, if this is possible at all, but IIRC I followed various
threads where people got troubles when trying to use export_prof
together with other (at least resizing - -j,-B,-Y,-Z) options.

BTW: That is the reason why I avoid using --export_prof.

Especially at this point I would have expected that dvd-vcd would
produce dvd compliant mpeg1 content, which is IMHO better solved by
[1].

Just my 0.02 EUR.
