I don't know exactly since I rarely use libdvdread, but following sources
(of libdvdread) looks like the preferred (and only) way to control
libdvdread verbosiness is to use this environment variable.
Unfortunately, can't test this thing now :(

Yup, it's one of my biggest wishes. I'd like to open a project
on berlios.de or something like it in the near future.
