Hi ManiKanta Swamy Kattamuri,

nice name btw. :)
I got the same problem and I hope I can help:
First of all: install lame from http://www.mp3dev.org/ .

Now, I hope you installed ffmpeg from the latest cvs.

The solution for my problem was the patch for transcode 1.0.2 (tar.gz-archive). The posting including the patch used to be here (thanks to Andrew Church for his helping hand when I needed it):

http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.transcode.user/20241/focus=20245

Since it doesn't work for me, here is the download link for the patch:
http://cache.gmane.org//gmane/comp/video/transcode/user/20242-001.bin
I think you'll only need "./configure --enable-libavcodec --enable-avifile"

The probably better way:
Francesco Romani released transcode 1.0.3rc1 a short time ago:
http://www.transcoding.org/cgi-bin/transcode?Download
Get the cvs release from there. The ffmpeg problem should be fixed.

Greetings from Germany,

Karsten Vogt
