Hi ManiKanta Swamy Kattamuri,

nice name btw. :)
I got the same problem and I hope I can help:
First of all: install lame from http://www.mp3dev.org/ .

i have installed lame from the website

Now, I hope you installed ffmpeg from the latest cvs.

yes i installed ffmpeg also

The solution for my problem was the patch for transcode 1.0.2
(tar.gz-archive).
The posting including the patch used to be here (thanks to Andrew Church
for his helping hand when I needed it):

http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.transcode.user/20241/focus=20245

Since it doesn't work for me, here is the download link for the patch:
http://cache.gmane.org//gmane/comp/video/transcode/user/20242-001.bin

this URL is not present ,i checked it ,it gives me the error
The requested URL /gmane/comp/video/transcode/user/20241/focus=20245 was not
found on this server.

I think you'll only need "./configure --enable-libavcodec
--enable-avifile"

The probably better way:

Francesco Romani released transcode 1.0.3rc1 a short time ago:
http://www.transcoding.org/cgi-bin/transcode?Download
Get the cvs release from there. The ffmpeg problem should be fixed.

yes the cvs has fixed the ffmpeg problem
but there is problem with lame now
lame files are found in the configuration but the problem presists
here are the errors
./configure --enable-libavcodec --with-lame-prefix=/usr/local

lame.h can be found in the following packages:
 lame http://www.mp3dev.org/

can u tell me what the error is
Thanks,
ManiKanta...
