I tried the latest CVS version and it solves the problem. As far as I can tell the video created with the CVS version looks the same as with my patch for the 1.0 tree.
One thing I have noticed is that many configure options are disabled by default. I installed the CVS version (after upgrading a bunch of libraries) just to realize that NuppelVideo support wasn't available. It was my fault of course since the configure output clearly states which option is enabled.
In the past I took the transcode sources, run configure and and checked how to enable the few "no's" which are important to me. Now I need to enable every single option I might be interested in.
Perhaps there's a good reason for not enabling some options and I don't know if this has been discussed already so please take this only as some kind of feature request :-)
