Francesco,
That's no worry, I just did not know what was possible, or not. I am
still wading through lots of documentation on mpeg, ac3, dvd, etc to
make sure I keep up and ahead of the students. I am quickly realizing
that there are a *LOT* of formats, tools and such out there!
Maik,
I will take a look at that multimux. I see a lot of tools for
Windows, but this is a Mac OS X lab I'm running here (40+ dual G5s).
I might also look at the commercial apps and see what can be used as
a way in between. Or perhaps I can figure out if/how to port multimux
over to OS X, although I won't hold my breath with that, as I am far
too rusty with that!
Thanks for suggestions!
-Jason

Sorry, but unfortunately transcode encoders (and internal machinery)
handle always and
only stereo (2-channels) tracks. You must use a separate encoder.
(Yes, we're aware that's a pretty severe limitation, and we have
far-future
plan to fix this.)
Take a look at:

IMHO multimux sounds quite promissing.
