This is a wild stab in the dark, but is it the browser caching the data? I once had a similar problem with IE, where I had to append a random value to the URL of the script my AJAX was calling. I think the latest version of ColdFire has a feature for debugging ColdSpring Remote Proxy although I've not tried it.
