Aha, so that is a bit of a red herring and what this really means is that an
error is being generated by 'something' before hitting the exception handler
which fails anyway?

Or something like that...

Yeah, that's the thing J,

The exception argument is for a special exception class which gets created
on an internal auto-wire error, or at least that's what it looks like from
the source code.
