Hi Bim, Thanks for the tip. I remember during a great presentation Bob gave that I asked him if this was possible which he said it was and that he had some idea on how to achieve it.
Looks like he certainly did - I'll check out the blog posts. Be great to see examples of how to use abstract classes to achieve this. Thanks again! --- James Allen E: ja...@jamesallen.name Blog: http://jamesallen.name Twitter: @CFJamesAllen (Coldfusion / Web development) Twitter: @jamesallenuk (General) Lead developer of http://errrrrrr.com -----Original Message----- From: transfer-dev@googlegroups.com [mailto:transfer-...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Bim Sent: 21 February 2010 18:02 To: transfer-dev Subject: [transfer-dev] Re: Migrating to hibernate? I'm expressing my interest in this topic as well. I'm currently in the process of evaluating, researching and planning out a process of a ColdFusion 8//ColdSpring/Transfer stack into a more ambitious migration to a Java/Spring/Hibernate stack in a webservices style domain model. The current architecture follows the principles of Bob Silverberg's "How I Use Transfer Series" with the use of abstractservices, abstractgateways, and an abstracttransferdecorator. James, I highly recommend reading Bob's series as it addresses what you're attempting to do. I'm hoping that this architecture will lend itself to this type of migration. -Bim Paras -- Before posting questions to the group please read: http://groups.google.com/group/transfer-dev/web/how-to-ask-support-questions -on-transfer You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "transfer-dev" group.
