Greetings all,

Just dropping a note to let you all know about the current development
undertaken by me, so you can all see where the project is heading.

This week I integrated a new attribute to Projects. This attribute is
known as the "File Type" attribute and can be accessed via the Project
Admin page. What this attribute does is define a particular file type
for the project, either 'xliff' or 'po'.

Once a file type is selected for a project (NOTE: the value for projects
will default to "po" if none is given), any other translation file types
for that project that do not conform to the allowed file type, will not
be displayed in the Pootle project. This is a per project value.

This work was part of the move to the xliff framework, I also changed
various parts of the Pootle code to allow for more flexibility in file
types, removing the reliance on "po" files.

I have also begun work on the pot2xliff conversion file, though this is
part of the translation toolkit, I hope that will be of use to you all.

pootle.wordforge.org will start making use of Apache some time this
week, Apache will serve 'static' pages (ones that do not have changing
content) which will remove load on the Pootle python webserver, speeding
up Pootle browsing.
