Yes, that is one of the ways in which oo2po can be used.  See
http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/oo2po#creating_po_files_from_existing_work

I guess we can coordinate to help with that, but ideally we would like
to delegate as much as possible to outside of the core group (mostly me)
since it won't scale well.  Either way, let us know if we need to update
the PO files from your .sdf or if we need to help someone in doing it.
Hopefully the above mentioned wiki page is clear. If not, we should
improve the page, of course :-)

Unfortunately I haven't yet gotten the chance to coordinate that with
the unhack-oo guys.  The last time there was still some discussion about
the directory structure that should be followed, and after that I got
tied up in other work :-(

This is a big issue that might fall outside our scope for now. If we
have the SVN integration with someone on their side, it might be easier
to interface with them that way, but I don't know how far such a process
is from a possibility.
