I know we can create a .sdf file from existing OOo PO files on

our PO files?

Yes, that is one of the ways in which oo2po can be used. See
http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/ oo2po#creating_po_files_from_existing_work

I guess we can coordinate to help with that, but ideally we would like
to delegate as much as possible to outside of the core group (mostly me) since it won't scale well. Either way, let us know if we need to update
the PO files from your .sdf or if we need to help someone in doing it.
Hopefully the above mentioned wiki page is clear. If not, we should
improve the page, of course :-)

I thought you might want to do the conversion at the Pootle end, so it's a smaller transfer, but I'm happy to try and do it at my end, then send the link for the compressed PO files to you.

First, however, I need to check that it's a valid file. Pofilter ... OK.

I've installed translate-toolkit-0.10.1svn. The process worked well:

oo2po: warning: Output directory does not exist. Attempting to create

I couldn't find what was missing in that line. :S

Anyway, the structure looks OK, the files have both original and translation. I'll zip them and put them up on my site so you can grab them and overwrite our originals:

http://www.riverland.net.au/~clytie/OpenOffice/viOOo.zip

I don't like the .sdf format, because it doesn't include any of the PO header information. That means the output files have a blank header. I don't see how we can work around that, but we need the headers on Pootle to be accurate.
