On the first visit to the project, Pootle will do all the quality checks
on the project and will also do the indexing if PyLucene is installed.
If this is interrupted prematurely (killed while still busy), this might
explain your situation, although this is just a guess.

For a large project (like the one you are describing) it could take
quite a while.

My guess is that there might be an error in a file in that package,
perhaps encoding error or something like that.  I have seen our toolkit
being a bit more strict for example with encoding errors in comments.

Please email a bz2/whatever of that project that makes it fail to me, or
attach it to a bug at bugs.wordforge.org
