Hi Stan

If you want to translate OpenOffice.org using Pootle, we will need the
set of PO files that were generated from the correct GSI/SDF file for
the release you want to work towards. Pavel Janik did at some time
supply POT files for specific milestones on his site, so you could
perhaps look into that if it will help.

Is this an entirely new translation? I think it is important that you do
an estimation of how long you will need and compare that against the
release dates so that you know before you start what is realistic. If
you have the PO files in a ZIP archive, you can organise it with us to
upload it yourself, or we can help if there is a problem.

If you can get onto our IRC channel, it might be easier than doing this
further by private email, but either way should work eventually :-)

We should probably encourage stan to use the arsaperta server, where the other OpenOffice.org projects are based. I've only got the Vietnamese OpenOffice.org project here to work on the OpenOffice.org features for Pootle.

(Which unfortunately didn't work for OpenOffice.org 2.2, probably due to the very short release interval: we didn't have time to update the files on-server, update the translation, then output the GSI file. But those are the processes we're developing here for OpenOffice.org, and the OpenOffice.org Pootle will benefit from them as soon as we have them worked out. :) )

Then Aiet could help him.

stan, Aiet Kolkhi is the admin for the OpenOffice.org Pootle, which is based on a server called arsaperta:

Aiet, have you merged milestone 199 into the OpenOffice.org Pootle yet? I notice the front page still lists "OpenOffice.org 2.1", but we are all working on 2.2, so I think the name needs to catch up. ;)
