the 'about' issues sounds reasonable to me. As there seems to be no way to
direct robots to the about page and to prevent them from entering the language
pages at the same time, I think, I would accept the increased traffic. As this
only concerns installations with a baseurl different from '/', this should not
lead to widespread problems anyway, I guess.

my previous approach was quite spontaneous, thanks for not accepting it
immediately :)
