The newest fix is in SVN, and is not distro specific (it will simply fall back to the old behaviour if the user is using Python 2.4). Making an updated release is definitely on the cards, but I think he might get round to a new Debian package before I do a new release of Pootle. Let's see who wins :-) Thanks for the feedback.
