Would there be any advantage in integrating Pootle with Zikula, the OS application framwork/CMS? Since recently, Zikula has been using Pootle at http://translate.zikula.org
By integrating with Zikula, you could 'outsource' some important portions of your functionality, such as authentication. Authentication, for example, is something you currently have to implement, but perhaps you could instead take advantage of Zikula's flexible and secure authentication. Plus there are other functionalities that might be useful to you, such as the group/user management and the categorization. And how about searching? Then you could focus instead on implementing the core functionality of Pootle, the translation management stuff. Just an idea. HTH.
