Maybe uploading the Toolkit + Pootle to PyPi can help here. It would be enough to do: $ easy_install Pootle to have Pootle installed along with its dependencies. But I'm not sure if the current packaging infrastructure is ready for this. Apart from that, there are always packages for Debian (+Ubuntu) and Fedora, thanks to Nicolas François and Dwayne Bailey. About integrated Pootle installations, it sounds really good, but I'm afraid that that won't happen at least until 1.3 is released, which is taking very long time.
