Hi Cecilia The upgrade is really not all that scary, and you can try it before finally migrating. You can just leave the PO files where they are (with backups, of course), and remember that you can run Pootle without installing, so you can easily just change your web server configuration to point to the new Python files (of course, you can still install over the old version if you want to). I made some notes about upgrading which I hope will be useful: http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/upgrade As mentioned in the release notes, suggestions will be migrated automatically. The statistics are stored in the main Pootle database with Pootle 2.1, and all the necessary changes will happen automatically on the first request. You might want to run the "refresh_stats" command once the upgrade is finished: http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/commands This will ensure that all statistics are pre-calculated and search indices (if you use them) are up-to-date. Otherwise they are calculated on demand. The server description is stored in the database and should work fine as it did in Pootle 2.0 If you make customisations to Pootle code, it is hard to say what the best thing is to do, but the diff from 2.0.3 might be the best way to see what you did and see if it applies well. Changes to the base template will probably apply easily again to Pootle 2.1 without major hassle. As you can see from existing installations of Pootle 2.1, the basic look and layout is still largely the same. The new functionality on the translate page obviously meant massive changes in the relevant templates and styling. I hope that helps.
