In the weekend, I installed a pootle 2.5 on ubuntu. I installed this packages: git python-virtualenv python-pip python-mysqldb python-memcache memcached xapian-tools libapache2-mod-wsgi zip unzip python-levenshtein libxslt1.1 libxslt1-dev libxml2-dev python-lxml python-aeidon
some of this packages only need if you want to install a production server.
