(resent because I didn't get a reaction)

Hi,

I have two translation projects, and two groups of translators. Most of
the translators are only involved in one project, and only for their own
language. The permissions are set on the language, not on the project.

The default permissions are 'Can view a translation project'.

Now, if they login, they can see both projects. When they choose the
project where they have no permissions, they get a "Permission denied"
message.

They also can see all the languages that ar ein both projects. When they
choose one of the languages where they don't have any permissions set,
they can click thru as deep as "Continue translation". There, they see
the writing area, but cannot do anything there.

Without the default permission 'Can view a translation project', they
can't do anything, even when they have full rights on their language.

We find this not only annoying, but also unwanted. Even the word
'stupid' was used. In a future version of Pootle, please solve this, so
that a user can only see what is good for him, and no more than that. We
work with external translators and have different projects in Pootle. We
don't want to make the users any wiser than necessary.

Our feature request are simple:
- show only the projects where the user has any rights
- show only the languages where the user has any rights

*Pls milestone this. Our management is pushing towards moving away from
Pootle because of this.*

With best regards,

Edwin Boersma
