I am using OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 that shipped with Fedora Core 5. I am unable to observe the minus sign in the formula. I type up the formula and I observe a square in place of the minus sign. I found a workaround: using "-" instead of simply - But this gives me the short dash instead of the slightly longer minus sign. Does anyone know of a fix to this?
If it is about the - sign there are two possible known facts: a) The OpenSymbol is not properly installed. Check with a different application that it is available and can properly be used. b) Sometimes for some zoom factors the character is not visible. Thus try to change the zoom factor and see if it becomes visible.
