Alan, You provides us with the information that TBR 21 will probably be finalized by the ACTE meeting in October, so far so good. I have some additional thoughts about this;
1) It must be stressed that it will not be possible to grant any approvals based on TBR21 before we have seen CTR21 in the Official journal. This can take up to 7 months, as it did in the DECT case, the TBR's 6 and 10 are dated December 1993 and the CTR 6 and 10 was published in the Official journal in July 1994. The conclusion might be that it will not be possible to grant pan-european approvals using TBR21 before May 1997. 2) There is a possibility that there will be additional national requirements besides TBR21, as it is in the current european approval regime for ISDN ! Have you seen any draft CTR21 yet ? Any comments ?
