I said no such thing.

What I am saying is that I don't think that any certification organization will
want to
put its reputation on the line, using a trace as a reliable fuse.

However, if one were to do that, all it means is that you can put a mark on your
equipment,
till somebody challenges that mark.

Acceptance of equipment is NOT DONE by certification organizations but by the
Authorities having Jurisdiction, in this case the conglomoration of Electrical
Inspectors
across the continent.

They usually accept a piece of equipment. if it bears the mark of an
organization they
trust.  They DO NOT HAVE TOO ACCEPT such a piece of equipment.

That is why certification organizations are "beholden", prefer not to take
risks, etc., etc.

They have to stay on the good side of an uncontrolable entity, the "Authorities
having Jurisdiction", or lose their credibility and business.  And believe me,
this is BIG business.
