Maybe someone on treg can help me with this. In the past, Ireland has required that the ring detect capacitance must be 1.8 uF +/- 50%. It is annoying to have to provide such a large value.
I keep hoping that Ireland will get around to modifying this requirement, but it is still there in the 1996 edition of NET 4. However, since the contents of the present NET 4 were submitted to ETSI almost a year ago, they may not be the most up-to-date. Does anyone know whether Ireland has recently revised their requirements on this parameter, or whether they plan to revise them in the near future?
