My company manufactures ground based systems used in the aviation industry. I have been asked to research the requirements for complying with EU+s CE mark requirements. I have several questions in regards to the TTE directive that I hope someone will answer. I should say that the systems I am concerned with are capable of remote status and control from a personal computer via PSTN modems.
1) Who manufactures modems that meet the EU requirements for direct connection to the PSTN? 2) Without going into too much detail, what is the state of common regulatory standards for analog PSTN terminal equipment? Are there any? What+s up with the TBR for modems? 3) What is the purpose of Article 2 of the TTE Directive? 4) Where can I get more information about the CTRs? Where can I get copies of them? Thanks.
