Since more and more Mutual Recognition Agreements and Arrangements now are being pursued by more and more countries, regions, etc., etc., all having to do initially with telephone terminal equipment, than broadening out to telephone, radio and information technology equipment, the question that of needs comes up is, what is the appropriate international electrical safety standard for radio equipment. It is not exactly what the authors of IEC-950 had in mind during development.
