Dear Treggers, Can anyone answer some or all of the following questions relating to the approval of a PC fax-plus-data modem card in France and Italy:
1. Where can we obtain an English-language version of the B11-23A standard, which we understand to differ from the French portion of NET4? 2. Can anyone recommend a good test lab for accredited testing of non-voice analog equipment, that can also assist with the type approval procedure. Noting that there is a tendency in France to stick to the French language for correspondence with the outside world, and for much official documentation to be available only in French, I would prefer a lab with staff who have a reasonable command of the English language. We are able to communicate to a small extent in French but will find it far easier not to do so! 3. Do any specific additional facsimile machine standards apply to a fax modem card installed in a PC. If so, which is the current Standard? I believe M41-10A is supposed to apply, but I do not know if it has been officially adopted yet. Is the specific standard (if any) for facsimile machines available in English? 4. I learned a year or two ago that the Italians have adopted NET4 but with nearly 200 amendments to the Italian portion. Does anyone have a document describing the differences? Is there a simplified TBR21-like Standard accepted in Italy? Thanks in advance for any information which will be gratefully received. Best regards and season's greetings to you all, David Drori ----------------------------------------------------------- Novarex Enterprises Ltd., POB 2833, 306-6, Mevo Hapartisanim Street, Jerusalem 91028, Israel.
