Hello again, I have recently received a copy of the new Canadian EMC standard, ICES-003 Issue 2 Revision 1. In Section 7.1, the only reference made is to CSA C108.8-M1983. From this I have a couple of questions, which are:
1. The referenced C108.8 standard is of 1983 vintage, as indicated, but, is stated that in its subsection 1.5, it references standards with editions as of "August 13th, 1994". Is the 1983 version of C108.8 the latest version? If so, I am wondering why it has this 1994 reference in it? 2. Is testing to FCC Part 15 or CISPR22 still acceptable to Industry Canada as realistic alternatives to C108.8 requirements? If so, please refer to a documented reference of such.
