Job Title: Technical contributor, Product Integrity engineer (Job # 5654).
Reports To: Manager, Physical Design & Product Integrity.
Department: Physical Design & Product Integrity.
Location: Nortel in Brampton, Ontario.
Summary of key responsibilities and functions:
- Provides engineering/technical support to product and engineering development
groups.
- Report progress on assigned task to senior engineers and managers.
- Planning and coordination of tasks under supervision of senior engineer.
- Maintain awareness of and contribution to metrics within technical/group
areas.
- Customer liaison at peer level.
- Technical reporting/presentation to senior engineers and managers.

- Has specific influence upon the method by which preset technical objectives
are met.
- Implements actions derived by management and senior engineers and makes
technical recommendations for their decision.
- Uses precedents set by on-the-job experience and management to guide the
derivation of technical recommendations.
- Decisions affect outcome of objectives at task level within 3 month time
frame.

Knowledge
