What I have heard the difference is that a "mark" is something that identifies an agency/test body etc. IE the UL mark, the CSA mark, the TUV mark, the BABT symbol, etc. Since there is no CE agency/test body, no CE "mark". CE marking is the term used to indicate the way in which a manufacturer indicates to a customer compliance to the EU Directives. Gene Panger gave an excelent explanation of the whole thing at a seminar I attended in Decmeber. But I like the "devil" idea much better. Cynthia
