This refers to safety certification. Please note that by federal regulations telecom equipment ALSO needs to b= e certified, for interconnect purposes, by Communications Canada (aka. Department of Communications), which is similar to the US FCC. All of the above, plus electrical inspectors, power and telecom companies= , government ministries, consumer groups, etc. Please note that certification is required by law, so there is really no legal way to avoi= d this.
