Hi! The Singapore Consumer Protection Regulation is enforced by PSB which is a government based body. It's only at PSB where you can obtain the certification. All fresh submission must be submitted to PSB for certification. PSB do recognise CB report from other test house, however, your product must still be submitted to PSB together with the CB report. The advantage of having the CB report is that less or even no test will be conducted according to the technical judgement of PSB. Paul Tan is the person to contact at PSB at the contact number I'd posted previously. Rgds. I checked the CB-Bulletin, so far the only listed CB-issuing body is PSB. However, they are may other testhouses, where a manufacturer could apply. Do you know anything about it? Heiko, That's correct, as from 1 Jun 1997 onwards, mains operated ITE and other consumer products are required to be compliant to Singapore's Consumer Protection Regulations. You may request a list of affected products from PSB. Products must be certified by PSB (Singapore Productivity and Standards Board) and be sticked with a PSB Safety Mark. PSB do recognise CB reports. You may contact : Paul Tan (Assistant Head Electronics Test Centre) Tel No. : 65-7729771 Fax No. : 65-7746119 for more information. Rgds.
