From: "paul r." <[email protected]> Subject: USA 72 Mhz model radio control equipment
Have been informed during official meeting between manufacturer rep's in Belgium and rep's of model users (airplane and buggies): Graupner manufacturer rep. in BELGIUM (name: Engelen) made following unbelievable statements subject 72 Mhz radio control equipment rigs: - 72 Mhz rig's are unreliable due to the fact that the quartz is very thin on that frequency and breaks down often due to engines vibration and/or heavy landings (is that true, what is the overtone number?) - 72 Mhz rig's will not be manufactured any more due to the low user demand (any comments and/or estimates?) - 72 Mhz will be no longer used any more for model radio control. In the near future the 72Mhz band will be relocated in the 75 Mhz band (is this a USA FCC statement?, who else's use 72 Mhz (country's)?, who else will switch) - radio control rig's in general, and specially 72 Mhz rig's, are unable to meet the new ETSI 300-220 spec. constrains (is this true? who can provide me that spec.? home address available on request) - CE EMC requirements are not applicable to RC equipment (for me its applicable to ALL equipment's, what's your opinion?) Partial replay's to the statement's/question's welcome. Please reply only if you are sure to understand, and are well informed about, the subject's. Contact me if my statements/questions requires more information and/or clarification. Avoid where not applicable speculations and/or personal considerations. Give, if possible, source(s) of your information. Replay preferably by EMAIL to [email protected] I'm not receivable to humor on those subject's, so avoid spam on newsgroups and/or maillists. Please let me know your Email adr. if you are involved (and/or concerned) about ongoing model radio frequency planning in Europe (regio I?) and like to participate (or feel you can help) on the subject. Thanks on beforehand for your collaboration. This are very important items for ongoing future frequency planning discussions in Europe.
