You said it. It needs to be maintained. It needs to be maintained to a degree of accuracy and confidence that you're not likely going to get from volunteers.
I've tried and am still trying to maintian my own matrix. However, much of the information on this circuit is hearsay of one sort of another and you may get rude surprises when you apply for approval, if this is the source you rely on. People who do spend the money to find out for sure, will not (should not) give it away, if they can maintain a competitive position because of such knowledge, or can sell it. Many of the approvals conferences with a one or two day tour around the world, put on by people who make it their business to do approvals, suffer from the same problem. They won't give you enough information to do the job yourself, just enough to sniff at the problem. Don't blame them. Everybody has to eat. Ciao, Vic
